The European Film Awards, which recognize the greatest achievements in European cinematography, have given their verdict, awarding the first prize to "Anatomy of a Fall" by director Justine Triet.
The French film also grabbed other important awards besides Best Film, including Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Actress.
"Anatomy of a Fall" (L'anatomie d'une chute) tells the story of a writer who is forced to defend herself in court after becoming the prime suspect in her husband's murder.
In May of this year, "Anatomy of a Fall" triumphed at the Cannes Film Festival, winning the Palme d'Or. It was also nominated for "Best Film" in the drama category at the Golden Globes 2024.
