Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla said in a recent statement that the most likely scenario is for "the coronavirus to continue for years, but this will be the last year that requires us to live in confinement."
During his interview with the French media, the CEO of Pfizer spoke about the effectiveness of vaccines, saying that people should continue to seek booster doses themselves.
"It's important that people get the extra dose of the vaccine. Children also need to be vaccinated to protect themselves. The effectiveness of the vaccine in children is very, very good."
Bourla also said that the new drug against Covid-19, Paxlovid, "changes everything" as it is a very good new way that fights serious diseases. This drug reduced the need for hospitalizations and deaths in the most severe cases by almost 90%.
