Kim Kardashian has just brought back one of her most iconic looks, but this time with a touch from the early 2000s.
In a selfie posted on Instagram, Kim appears with platinum blonde hair and a few thin braids on the right side of her face, a typical Y2K detail that takes us right back in time.
After a few months with a brunette lob (a bob cut, but longer) and then with long natural hair, Kim has decided to bring back her favorite look : blonde and bold.
This isn't the first time Kim has experimented with blonde. Just this year, she appeared in a curly blonde bob for Skims' campaign in collaboration with Roberto Cavalli, inspired by the "mob wife" aesthetic. In December, she took inspiration from Pamela Anderson with a blonde bob with bangs, and in the spring she even took the blonde to the Met Gala red carpet.
In an interview with Interview Magazine in 2022, Kim confessed that she was planning to keep her blonde hair for a while.
“I feel different when I'm blonde,” she said. “I think I'll go back to brunette in the fall, so as not to damage my hair… But I think blondes enjoy life more.”
Recently, Kim has been seen sporting her naturally dark, long hair, like during her recent visit to Venice, where she attended Lauren Sánchez and Jeff Bezos' wedding. But it seems summer is calling for a big comeback, and Kim has made it in style.
Platinum blonde + mini braids? Just Kim being Kim. And yes, it looks like blonde season has begun (again).
