Kate Middleton has shared her gratitude for the hospital where she received cancer treatment. On Friday, the Princess of Wales sent a meaningful gift to the Royal Marsden Hospital Foundation. She revealed in January 2025 that she had been a patient at the institution.
On Friday, as confirmed by a recent post on Kensington Palace's social media, Kate sent a bouquet of yellow daffodils and a handwritten note from herself.

Her message, written on official Kensington Palace letterhead, began like this:
"To the patients and staff of the Royal Marsden. As spring approaches, these daffodils from the Isles of Scilly are to tell you that I am thinking of you all."
The daffodil is the national flower of Wales, which makes her choice especially symbolic given that Middleton and her husband, Prince William, hold the titles Prince and Princess of Wales.

In 2024, Middleton announced that she had been diagnosed with cancer (the type of which was not made public) and was undergoing chemotherapy. During a surprise visit to the Royal Marsden in January 2025, the princess not only announced that her disease was in remission (the symptoms and signs of the disease have been significantly reduced), but also that she had been a patient at the hospital, which specializes in cancer treatment.
"I wanted to take this opportunity to thank Royal Marsden for taking such good care of me over the past year," she wrote on social media at the time.

"My heartfelt thanks go to everyone who has been there for me and William in silence as we have dealt with everything. We could not have asked for more. The care and advice we have received during my time as a patient has been extraordinary."
“It is a relief that I am now in remission and remain focused on recovery. As anyone who has had a cancer diagnosis knows, it takes time to adjust to a new reality. However, I am looking forward to a year filled with beautiful things ahead. There is so much to look forward to. Thank you all for your continued support,” she concluded.

A Kensington Palace spokesperson explained to the Daily Mail that Middleton “wanted to make this gesture to show her gratitude to the hospital’s incredible team, but also to highlight the world-class care and treatment that the Royal Marsden provides.”
