Beyond all the theories that are still circulating about the most talked about divorce of the last few days, it seems that Jennifer Lopez did not want to be separated from Ben. According to a source for "People", Lopez is not one of those people who gives up easily, on the contrary.
"It's been incredibly difficult for Jennifer to accept the fact that Ben chose to walk away from their marriage and move on with his life, leaving her alone," the source said. "She didn't want a divorce. Jennifer wanted to understand things better because they actually love each other. Lopez is not the type of woman to just give up, although it has been agonizing days and months leading up to the decision to separate from the actor."
After news of the divorce filing broke last week, sources said Affleck is no longer ready to commit to the relationship. Especially due to the fact that life in the eyes of the public and the media, being followed by photographers everywhere made it much more difficult for the actor to live a normal everyday life.
But, despite the developments, it is said that the singer is feeling more relieved and is taking all the time necessary to improve things in her life.
"After filing for divorce, she seems more relieved," adds the same source. "Her family and friends have come to terms with the idea that divorce was the right decision for her. She is surrounded by a lot of love and support and will of course be stronger after all this whirlwind of interest and commentary is over."
Lopez and Affleck had a love story in 2003, and even planned to get married at the time, which did not happen. They met again in 2021 and rekindled their romance, marrying a year later in a ceremony in Georgia and one in Las Vegas.
