
Rapper Offset was shot in an incident outside a casino in Seminole, Florida, according to a police source. He was immediately taken to the hospital, where he is receiving medical treatment and is in stable condition, while doctors are keeping him under close observation.
In a statement, Seminole police said the incident occurred in the casino parking lot just after 7 p.m. Monday, resulting in one person being injured and transported to a hospital in Hollywood, Florida. According to authorities, officers responded immediately and the situation was quickly brought under control.
Two people have been arrested in connection with the incident and investigations are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident. Police stressed that the area is safe, there is no risk to the public and activity at the casino is continuing normally.
A source close to the situation said that Offset is expected to be fine and is not in intensive care, while so far no details have been made public on the exact location of his injury.
Videos shared on social media appear to show the moments after the incident, where one person is escorted by authorities limping, while another is seen lying on the ground surrounded by law enforcement.
The event was initially reported by American media, while it is recalled that in 2022, Takeoff, Offset's friend and collaborator, was shot dead in Houston.
