If you're one of those who sang "This Is Me" in front of the mirror in 2008, take a deep breath: ex-lovers Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas just took the stage together again and yes, they sang a song from "Camp Rock."
During the JONAS20 tour in New Jersey, the Jonas Brothers made a sweet surprise for fans: Demi Lovato made a surprise appearance and, together with Joe, performed the iconic songs from the Disney film that made them famous.
"It's been almost 10 years since we sang it," Joe said from the stage, while Demi added with a laugh: "Maybe even longer."
For those who don't know what "Camp Rock" is: It's a Disney Channel musical movie that came out in 2008, where Demi played a talented but shy girl (Mitchie Torres) and Joe Jonas was the star of the pop band (Shane Gray).
The film became a cultural phenomenon for 2000s teenagers, thanks to hits like "This Is Me" and "Gotta Find You," launching Demi and consolidating the fame of the Jonas Brothers.
Joe and Demi's story was short but intense: they met on the set of "Camp Rock" in 2007, started dating in 2010, and broke up a few weeks later, a full 48 hours after Teen Vogue published their joint cover.
However, after the breakup, their friendship remained strong. Demi later said that "Joe and Nick have always been there for me, they are like family."
