Instagram, WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger are blocked all over the world. More than 123,000 users have reported problems with Instagram on DownDetector, more than 23,000 users have reported problems with WhatsApp and over 5,000 reports Facebook has had on DownDetector alone.
Facebook, which owns Instagram and WhatsApp, has not yet responded to a request for comment from The Verge. However, the Facebook Gaming account acknowledged on Twitter that "there are a number of issues that currently affect Facebook products, including game broadcasts". It was also said that numerous teams are working on this problem.
Of course, the whole block was accompanied by memes that at the moment, could only be posted on Twitter:

This is not the first time the platforms have been blocked. Facebook Messenger and Instagram's Direct Message were blocked in December. The platforms also had major outages in 2019.
