As we all know, it is no secret that people share their Netflix account passwords with family and friends. The platform has allowed the distribution of passwords, but may no longer allow it.
Netflix is ??planning to prevent the distribution of passwords outside of a single family. Persons who choose to provide passwords outside the family will be charged extra.
In the coming weeks, the broadcast platform will start testing new features, where members will have to pay an extra $ 2 to $ 3 to share passwords with people outside the home.
People will be able to add sub-accounts for up to two people they do not live with, where each will have their own profile, personalized referrals and personal password.
For now, testing for the distribution of paid passwords will only be done for people in Chile, Costa Rica and Peru. It is not known if Netflix will approve the plan worldwide once testing is complete.
