The newspaper "La Repubblica" says that the little boy of Albanian origin has borrowed 125 books from the library of the town where he lives in one year. On average, he set foot in the library every three days, with the desire to familiarize himself with new publications and read every book of them.

The person who gave the medal to the little one is the cultural adviser of the municipality of Montemurlo, who gave each child a new book so that they continue to nurture the desire to read and discover new stories: "Mattia doesn't go to school yet, but he already knows how to read. Indeed, he has an unbridled passion for reading. Mattia loves discovering stories and flipping through the pages of books, so much so that he borrowed 125 books a year from the city library," said Giuseppe Forastiero. Last weekend, the little boy won the "Reader of the Year" award, a trophy that the "Bartolomeo Della Fonte" library gave to the most diligent and loyal readers. During the ceremony, other older children were also rewarded, such as Penelope Bruno, a 13-year-old who borrowed 95 books, and Duccio Vannoni, a 14-year-old who borrowed 79 volumes during the year.
