Gwen Stefani has shared that she had a spiritual epiphany before becoming pregnant with her youngest son, Apollo, with ex-husband Ross Gavindale, at the age of 44.
The No Doubt singer, who is a practicing Catholic, recalled working with a former "atheist Jew" who later converted to Judaism and helped her make this profound personal discovery, during an interview for Hallow: Prayer & Meditation.
“He was studying the Torah (the holiest book of the Jews) and had this great epiphanic awakening, and he started talking to me about the Torah,” she said.

During the interview, the singer recalled that she had begun having deep conversations with the unknown man, which were awakening her spiritually. She explained that her oldest son, Kingston, who is now 19, had suddenly approached her after this event, begging her to have a brother or sister.
“I was desperate at that point,” said Stefani, now 56. “I really wanted to have another child. I really did, but I couldn’t and I was old.”
The "Hollaback Girl" hitmaker shared that her conversations with the unknown man were deep and arousing.

She said her oldest son, Kingston, prayed every night for her to get pregnant.
“Simply four weeks later, I was pregnant with Apollo,” she said. “I had him at 44, naturally,” describing it as a “complete gift. And that was the first miracle.”

Stefani shares sons Kingston, Zuma, 17, and Apollo, 12, with Rossdale, to whom she was married from 2002 to 2016. The annulment of their marriage was approved by the Catholic church 5 years after their divorce, in 2021.

"This was a huge relief for Gwen because she wanted to marry Blake Shelton through her priest and have the marriage recognized by the Catholic church," a source told the outlet.
After the divorce, Stefani continued her life with Blake Shelton, with whom she began dating in 2015 and married in 2024. Stefani and Blake Shelton continue to be happily married.
