Sanremo Festival: Angelina Mango announced as winner

Angelina Mango, 22, is the winner of the Sanremo festival and will represent Italy in Malmö, Sweden.

Angelina was declared the winner of the 74th edition of Sanremo with the song "La noia", which she had written herself, together with Dario Faini and Francesca Calearo. Public votes were counted for all nights of the festival.

After the 5 finalists were selected, through a televoting, the audience chose their favorite song. The finalists were:

Angelina Mango - "La noia"
Geolier - "I p' me, tu p' te"
Annalisa - "Sinceramente"
Ghali - "Casa mia"
Irama - "Tu no"

Angelina was declared the winner of the festival and for her the award is very important, since her late father, Pino Mango, has participated in the festival 7 times (from 1985-2007), but has never won the trophy.
