Following the death of Matthew Perry, the actor who played Chandler Bing on the hit sitcom "Friends," fans traveled to the building on the corner of 90 Bedford Street, which served as the exterior of Monica and Rachel's apartment.
The rain didn't stop Friends fans from paying their respects at the building known as the Friends building in New York.
"I'm sure you can find stories of people moving to New York because of the show Friends," said Chris Triebel, 39, who runs tours that focus on TV shows and movies filmed in the city.
"He had a very influential role in my life and always gave me lots of laughs and it's sad to hear of his passing," said another.
"I just wanted to pay my respects," said one girl, as she left with a yellow rose and a note: "Thanks for all the laughs."
"It was something I watched when I was sad or just wanted to laugh," said a 16-year-old.
Perry, 54, was found dead in the bathtub. On Sunday, his family released a statement saying they were "heartbroken by the tragic loss of our beloved son and brother". Additional investigations are being conducted to find out the cause of death before a conclusion can be reached.
