Dua Lipa only spent 24 hours in Milan this week, but she still managed to showcase three spring 2026 trends. First, the return of zebra motifs and see-through underwear. But her social media posts also revealed another strong trend: cobalt blue, which this year is bringing together famous singers, actors and artists.
Although her appearance was brief, she showed off almost every detail of Chloé's interpretation of the color. A hue once associated with the glow of digital screens, this time it took on a bohemian inspiration in the studio of designer Chemena Kamali. Her long-sleeved dress had an asymmetrical cut that extended from the neck to the hips, like a light cloak. The bottom had soft vertical sides, while long laces on the sleeves added a playful touch to the strong color.

The singer emphasized the low waist of the dress with a thick belt from Chloé, while she completed the look with a special black swan-shaped bag.

This isn't the first time Dua Lipa has experimented with the color. Earlier this month, she attended Elton John's Oscars party wearing a custom Gucci gown in a deep blue shade. The dress was covered in decorative beads that created a rich, shimmering effect.

She's just one of many celebrities who are bringing the color into the spotlight. Jessie Buckley showed up in a cobalt blue velvet dress at the 2026 BAFTAs, while Barbie Ferreira chose a similar hue for the Oscars. Kendall Jenner also previously incorporated the color into her style, with a cobalt blue scarf.

This color won't just be a spring trend. After presentations by brands like Lanvin, Chanel, Bottega Veneta, and Givenchy, it's clear that cobalt blue will continue to dominate for the rest of the year.
