Nearly six months after the divorce of former Sean's "Diddy" Combs, Kim Porter's wife, the musician speaks for the first time about her presence in her life, even though she is no closer to her.
On the cover of Essence magazine, Diddy also showed the last words the late deceased said. Those words gave shape to his reaction after hearing the news.
"Three days before he died, he felt sick," explains Diddy. "It was with the flu and brought the children to me so that they did not get sick."
"One night, I picked up the phone to ask how he was and he said, 'Puffy, look after my kids.' He just said these words before he died. "
Diddy says those words sounded in her ear when she learned of Kim's life.
"I turned to a mother," he says of Essence. "I sent people wherever the kids would not hear from social networks or media."
Diddy and Kim Porter made three co-Christian children, 21, and twins Jessie James and D'Lila, 12. Diddy also helped raise Kim's son, Quincy, 27, from her previous relationship.
"I had to go to girls' school, find where Quincy was, in a squat in Atlanta. Christian was traveling blocking my phone so she would not read the news in flight, "Diddy explains.
Diddy says he "cried and shouted" when he heard the news, but at that moment, thought about Kim's last words.
"I was praying to God and I immediately remembered Kim's voice. I heard him tell me 'take care of my children.' "
Since sharing Kim's life, Diddy is more committed to the family.
