A source told Page Six that the relationship between the "Only Murders in the Building" actors was unexpected and even surprised them.
"Meryl couldn't help but fall in love with Martin," the source said. "He's a true gentleman, always makes you laugh and is a positive person in every way. She loves being around him."
So far, neither of them have publicly confirmed their romance, but it seems like their relationship is going great! According to Page Six's sources, neither Meryl Streep, 75, nor Martin Short, 74, were looking for a relationship when they started dating. However, it seems that life had other plans for them.

The relationship between them comes after in October 2023, Page Six revealed that Meryl Streep had secretly separated from her husband, Don Gummer, in 2017. The couple had been married for 40 years. On the other hand, Martin Short was married for three decades to Nancy Dolman, who passed away from ovarian cancer in 2010. A source close to the couple told Page Six that they have formed a strong bond by sharing the pain of losing their partners.
