Not only can it affect how others perceive you, but it can also affect how you feel personally. Hair color can make a difference, but so can cuts and styles that are made specifically to emphasize certain facial features.
"There are absolutely several haircuts that complement different face shapes," says Andrew Fitzsimons, stylist to many celebrities. "For someone with a rounder face, a short, sharp cut can really help elongate the face and create angles. For oval-shaped faces, longer cuts, bangs, etc. are suggested."
So a change in your hair is a message to others and how they perceive you externally, but also a different approach to yourself.
