Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and his colleague Kristin Cabot were filmed trying to cover their faces as they appeared on a giant screen, hugging, during a concert in Boston, Massachusetts.
As the kiss cam camera focused on Byron, who is married to and the head of human resources at the same company, Kristin Cabot, Coldplay singer Chris Martin said from the stage:
"Look at these two."
Shortly after they were caught on camera, Byron, who was hugging Cabot rather sweetly, quickly ran away and hid, while Cabot tried to hide her blushing face with her hands.
The scene prompted huge laughter from the thousands in attendance at Gillette Stadium, as Martin commented wryly:
"Either they're married, or they're very shy."
According to his LinkedIn, Byron is the CEO of software development company Astronomer, estimated to be worth over $1.3 billion as of July 2023.
Meanwhile, Kristin Cabot, also known by the surname Thornby on LinkedIn, has been the company's human resources director for nine months.
In her professional profile, she states that she "earns the trust of employees at all levels, from CEOs to managers and assistants."
In November, when she was appointed to the position, Byron published a very enthusiastic comment praising her "extraordinary leadership and deep expertise in talent management."
He wrote at the time:
"She is a proven leader in growth-stage companies and her passion for creating diverse and collaborative environments makes her an ideal fit for this role at Astronomer."
Footage from Wednesday night's concert has gone viral on social media, being shared thousands of times on X and TikTok.
Hundreds of users have accused Byron of adultery and expressed support for his wife. Comments like:
"I feel sorry for the woman, but it's good that they were discovered and shamed."
"They're both terrible idiots! Why would you go to the concert if you're cheating?"
So far, neither Byron nor Cabot have publicly responded to these allegations.
