After the actor's participation in the conference, Trump published on his social network Truth: “I did not know how mentally and physically small the crazy former actor Robert De Niro was. Today, De Niro, who suffers from an incurable condition, was met in court by a force far greater than the radical left."
Trump went on to say that De Niro's films have not been of good quality, and even added that the actor looked "pathetic and sad". The conference in question happened 2 days ago (May 28, 2024) and De Niro talked about New York and his love for the city. "I love this city. I don't want to destroy it. Donald Trump will destroy not only the city, but the country and ultimately, the whole world," said De Niro during his speech.
