I've always said that the proofreader is the biggest secret in the world. However, to look at the nightmare, one must apply it properly - which is, of course, difficult.
If you have black circles under your eyes, I suggest you apply a product to correct the color that is on the peach or pink tones. This opens the circles and gives them light. After that, it's up to the proofreader.
I usually recommend a yellow-tone corrector that is a lot lighter than your foundation. The corrector should be applied to the inner corner of the eye, below it and to the outer corner. Spread it easily without pulling on the skin. Make sure it stays in place with yellowish powder and that's enough.
