The book "The Philosophy of Modern Song" by singer-songwriter Bob Dylan was released in early November in a limited edition of only 900 "hand-signed" editions, sold for $599 each.
In the times we live in, today it is difficult not to agree on things. As people received their books, they posted photos on social media. That said, they noticed that all of Dylan's "hand-signed autograph" books were identical. So the autographs were identical. It ain't me babe!
In a rare public statement, Bob Dylan apologized. He said that throughout the years, he had signed the autographs by hand, but:
'However, in 2019 I had a bad problem with dizziness that continued even during the pandemic. It took five people working with me to help me sign the autographs, and we couldn't find a safe and workable way to complete the signatures as the virus spread.”
He continued further:
"So during the pandemic, it was impossible to sign and the dizziness didn't help. As contractual deadlines approached, the idea of ??using an automatic pen was suggested to me and I was assured that it is something that is done all the time in the world of art and literature.”
He emphasized that the decision was a wrong judgment.
