Brad Pitt will now have more time for his children as a result of the court decision regarding joint custody, after his battle with his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie.
Pitt was given joint custody of five of Jolie's six children: Pax (17), Zahara (16), Shiloh (14) and twins Knox and Vivienne (12). The adopted child, Maddox (19), is no longer part of the custody issue as he is of legal age.
Judge John Ouderkirk's decision was a "preliminary ruling" and Jolie did not oppose joint custody but had "other concerns", according to the BBC.
The actress filed for divorce from Pitt in 2016, citing "irreconcilable differences" and since then they have faced a fierce legal battle over child custody.
Pitt was charged with abusive behavior after losing patience with some of the children, however, the actor was later acquitted of the charges.
The couple, formerly known as "Brangelina", first met on the "Mr and Mrs Smith" set in 2005, got married in 2014 and officially divorced in 2019.
