Peter Gene Hernandez - whom we all know as Bruno Mars - is one of the most successful artists of all time. He has topped the Billboard Hot 100 charts several times since the beginning of his career in 2010, climbing the rankings much faster than any male artist since Elvis Presley. Has many awards and nominations, including 11 Grammy Awards, 3 Brit Awards, 9 American Music Awards, 10 Soul Train Awards and holds 3 Guinness World Records; has appeared on Time and Forbes lists as one of the most influential people. BUT despite all that, he is not so proud as not to "beg" the Grammy organizers to let him perform.
Recording Academy - the American academy of musicians, recording engineers and music professionals, known for hosting the Grammy Awards - has published the list of singers who will perform at the next ceremony, including names like Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Megan Thee Stallion, John Mayer et al. Bruno Mars was nowhere to be found.
The singer announced that he and American rapper Brandon Paak Anderson, known by the stage name Anderson .Paak, have formed the group known as Silk Sonic. Their debut song, "Leave the Door Open", was released on March 5th. The debut album will be titled "An Evening with Silk Sonic".
Bruno Mars demanded that the Grammy organizers put him on the lists of performing singers. Mars vowed to follow security protocols, even joking that they are ready to audition. He added that they "have not been able to perform for a long time" and "just want to sing".
"I hope you will consider this request and give us the opportunity to excel. With much love, Silk Sonic. ”
