
Journalist Artjan Tepelena passed away at the age of 58 as a result of an infection with Covid.
Tepelena was hospitalized in one of the Covid hospitals in the capital, but despite treatment, she could not win the battle with the virus.
The news of the separation from life was given by the family members through a post on Facebook.

Artjan Tepelena has been a journalist, lecturer in the Department of Journalism at the University of Tirana and editor-in-chief of ART, where he has also held the position of programming director. Most recently, he was part of TV Scan.
President Ilir Meta consoled the family and praised Tepelena's contribution as a journalist.
"Sadness for the premature separation from life of the well-known journalist Artjan Tepelena, who lost today the battle with Covid-19.
Sincere condolences to family, friends and the journalistic community!
With his long and irreplaceable contribution to the media, Artjan Tepelena will be remembered as a lecturer and a good example to the younger generations of Albanian journalists, in defense of free speech and against conformism in the profession.
