After the country reached high numbers of positive testers with Covid-19, counting 661 cases in 24 hours, Kosovo made the decision to close the country over the weekend.
The committee of experts has decided to close all activities in the country, starting from 20:00 on Friday until 5:00 on Monday morning.
In the coming weeks, after 18:00, only businesses such as pharmacies or markets will be openly allowed.
With the arrival of the second wave in Europe, austerity measures are being imposed in some countries.
Greece will enter a second deadlock this Saturday: All stores except supermarkets and pharmacies will be closed. Authorities are working on a system that would allow people to go out only for work, shopping or visiting a doctor.
Kindergartens and primary schools will remain open, while gymnasiums will continue to teach online.
The measures will remain in force for at least 3 weeks.
Italy , meanwhile, has ordered a closure from 10am to 5pm, as well as regional blockades based on the local epidemiological situation.
So the country will not have a "rigid blockade", but a more flexible one. In high-risk areas, movement in and out of the territory will be banned and shops, bars and restaurants will be closed.
In Albania , today there are 489 new cases, marking the highest number of daily cases since the beginning of the pandemic.
The number of active cases has reached 10 800 people where almost 50% are located only in Tirana. So far Albania counts 549 victims of coronavirus.
