The Minister of Education, Besa Shahini, told Euronews Albania that it will be possible to repeat the school year for students who want it without any penalties or problems.
"All students will close the school year if they want to. If students want to repeat the school year or want to do the matura next year, they will have this opportunity without being penalized," Shahini said. "So it will be a decision they make. families looking at the situation and how much they have managed to teach their children, where they want to study. ".
Earlier, Shahini announced that the matura exams will not include questions related to home-learned topics.
However, the minister hopes the exams will be held in June, as planned.
"We want high school graduates who want to study abroad to apply on time, so this means that the exams must be closed by June. These are not decisions made, but scenarios that are being discussed and changing from day to day adding new elements. We are also looking at the models around us in order to apply them in our country. The matura exam will be easier this year. Lectures taken from home will not be included, ?Shahini concluded.
