The 21st edition of the Festival of Magic Song has just started. Ardit Gjebrea and Adrola Shushi kicked off the evening at the Artists' Hall to convey the message of unity and light in the week after the devastating earthquake that struck central Albania.
Of course, as tradition demands, the first winner was the annual winner, Flori Mumajesi. "Crack" burst through the audience. The mummy was playing with the camera and suddenly appeared in different parts of the room.
This year's first performance was by Olsi Blykut. His song, "Take Me Back," opened the 2019 race and in our opinion they could not have made a better choice.
After staying in Thumana for two days, producer Jewbrea was persuaded not to postpone the festival nights, but to use his ticket profits to rebuild the Caci family home. The motto of this edition quickly became, "Sing to Build."
With this mission in mind, Bylyk's song looks like it was specifically made for a difficult moment like this not only for earthquake victims, but for everyone who now has a different perspective on life.
Among other things, Bylyku says:
"Pause time for a moment reflect / We have but one life, so get up and live."
"God, I know how many times life brings me tempers in the face / I feel I need to run faster / Even faster / Even faster / I know that there is always sun after the rain / E after dark there is light / E after death / There is life. ?
The bracelet was accompanied by a chorus that filled the entire stage to sing the refrain, just as inspiring as the rest of the text.
