Immediately after the tragedy of the November 26 earthquake, "Magic Song" producer Ardit Gjebrea had made up his mind that the festival finale, scheduled for December 4-5 and December 7, would be postponed. But two days of staying in Thumana, one of the most affected areas of the tragedy, changed that mindset. "I was talking to one of the families affected by this drama, Caci Famous, and I decided immediately, why not turn the final nights into a mission, to help build this family home," the producer tells Anabel .co.uk.
All the proceeds from the three-night festival ticket sales will go towards building this house. This initiative was also embraced by all participating artists. "Like me, many competing Albanian and foreign singers at first thought it would be too early to organize the festival. But after telling them the idea of turning this race into a humanitarian mission, everyone was enthusiastic and ready for contributed. "
The public will be introduced to the story of the Caci family during "Albanian Sunday" and then the home reconstruction mission will be transferred to the Palace of Congresses scene.
"We have it in our hands, artists will be singing no longer about competition, but about art and contribution," Gebrea writes in his Instagram post.
