In May of this year, as they recovered from the Game of Thrones finale in the most unpredictable way possible, fans rightly questioned HBO's further success. Because of its popularity as one of the best serials of all time, replacing GOT seemed impossible. But here's HBO bringing in some quality productions that have successfully replaced Game of Thrones. Finally, "Watchmen", which premieres tomorrow (Sunday, October 20th) is another critically acclaimed series that will be adored by Game of Thrones fans.

The series is adapted from DC Comics graphic novels, written by Alan Moore (also known for "V for Vendetta", "The Ballad of Halo Jones", "Batman: The Killing Jokes" etc.) and performed by artist Dave Gibbons in 1986. However producer Damon Lindelof, the man behind "Lost" and "The Leftovers", is said to have watched "Watchmen" come as a remake of things. It is said that viewers do not know what will happen, a feature that will make for Game of Thrones fans.

The series puts the events in an alternate reality, with the United States led by Robert Redford, the longest-serving president. After a group calling itself the "Seventh Cavalry" storms the police houses, the latter are forced to wear masks.

The cast of cast includes: Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Don Johnson, Jean Smart, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Hong Chau, Andrew Howard, Tom Mison, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Sara Vickers, Dylan Schombing and James Wolk.

In recent years the cinema market has brought more and more comic-based productions, such as "Black Panther", "Guardians of the Galaxy", "Justice League", "Suicide Squad" etc., although they have usually been disappointing, with the exception the first two.

But critics have long praised Watchmen, HBO's nine-part series. They point out that even if you have no experience with Marvel superheroes or DC Comics, you will enjoy the movie equally as it is accessible to all viewers.
