Hours ago, Faktoje.al , (the newest investigative portal, whose structure is quite interesting), has published an article titled: "The Albanian state 'poor' for its citizens, rich for its 'leaders'. 700 euros a night in Rome for the Minister of Justice ?!
According to this article, Justice Minister Etilda Gjonaj makes trips abroad that cost a lot to the Albanian state. Its stays in luxury hotels capture staggering figures, well over 700 euros a night.

In most cases, the ministry has chosen to stay in luxury hotels, without compromising on the high prices. Faktoje.al has published some of the invoices declared after the trip.

During a trip to Brussels, where the ministry was to meet with Commissioner Vera Jourova to discuss Justice Reform, she is seen staying in a luxury hotel, which cost 1320 euros (660 euros / night) for two nights.
As shown by photos and data based on Faktoje.al, Gjonaj chooses to stay in the most luxurious hotel rooms.

During her visit to London, it turns out that the ministry spent 706 euros a night just for the stay!

On the other hand, in an article published at k Lapsi.al, there is a simple verification in Booking of the hotels in which the Ministry of Justice has stayed.
Booking "The Hotel Brussels" in which Gjonaj stayed 2 nights and paid 1320 euros, that is 660 euros a night, in Booking results in many times cheaper than stated. Only 123 euros a night!

The same story is found in almost all of her business trips, except for her stay in London, where the price difference was small.

Amidst all the luxurious trips, it seems that her stay in Rome is the first. Gjonaj has preferred to sleep in Via Veneto, one of Rome's most elegant and expensive areas, otherwise known as the street show business stars and businesses. Just for one night stay in the 5 star hotel "Ambassador Palace" according to her has cost 706 euros. While searching Booking, you can find the same hotel for 164 euros per night.
Although hotel prices are certainly fluctuating, in most cases the difference seems unacceptable. If such evidence stands, it is a scandalous abuse on the part of the minister and not only.
