Famous journalist Fatos Baxhaku dies. The renowned publicist has died at the age of 55 as a result of a severe illness he has been suffering for some time. Baxhaku was born in Tirana on January 9, 1964 and graduated in History at the University of Tirana. His documentaries, stories and many writings were long remembered as strong criticisms during the Albanian transition.
From 1986 until 1992 he worked at the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences to continue as co-founder, editor-in-chief and journalist at the "Albanian Gazette".
During the years '98 -'99 he worked as the first editor-in-chief of news in the Klan and from 1999-2000 he was editor-in-chief of the weekly magazine XXL.
For four years, Fatos Baxhaku was a journalist and editor-in-chief of Vision Plus television. From 2006-2015 he was editor-in-chief and journalist at ?Shqip?.
He has also authored and co-authored several TV series such as "Tunnel" (Vision Plus), "The Road" (Top Channel), "The Old House" (Digitalb) and many television documentaries.
Splitting it prematurely is a great loss to the world of Albanian print media.
