Yesterday, Elie Saab Junior married Christina Mourad at a religious ceremony at Church of Bkerke, Lebanon. There were 1000 family members and friends present, including Vogue Arab Editor Manauel Gold, Dita Von Teese, Sara Sampaio, Karolina Kuruva and others. The atmosphere resembled a garden, with trees and leaves that were playing with their reflections in mirrors and candles.
The couple were introduced through Celio, Saab's brother Jr. Celio has been known for Christina for years, but Elie had not had the chance to meet her until that night. He proposed on 19 June 2018 at home. The feast lasted one year and a month. Lebanese famous designer, Elie Saab, has worn many brides, but the next lady's wife was special.
For the religious ceremony, the bride wore a sleeveless dress with a high collar, a voluminous end and a 4.5 meter long tail. The veil, along with hair jewelery and tails, are embroidered with silk and gold. The jewelery that comes from the seasons features 50,000 spun yarns. We needed the work of three modelists, six tailors and ten assistants to realize the spectacular dress.
It took 80 hours for three designers to create the first embroidery version, which was then perfected by 12 embroidery for 450 hours.
