After Albanian Radio and Television broadcast songs of Serbian singer Ceca, otherwise known as Svetlana Ra?natovi?, the Audiovisual Media Authority received a number of complaints and reacted to the event in an official statement.
Ceca was the last woman of the war criminal Arkan (?eljko Ra?natovi?), the most powerful of the Balkans until he died. Ceca has spoken several times against Kosovo and has inspired crimes in Bosnia and Kosovo and has supported her husband and paramilitary groups that he led.
"The Audiovisual Media Authority has addressed a number of complaints about the broadcast (of the songs of Ceca) and after the case assessment, the RTSH has been drawn to the avoidance of such cases that create negative sensitivity of the followers of the public broadcaster programs . [...]
For AMA, the program and space for minorities in RTSH that serves friendship and solidarity among peoples and cultures and should not promote figures that with concrete commitments have shown and show the opposite, "reads AMA's response.
During controversial performance in Mitrovica, Ceca conveyed political messages against the citizens and the state of Kosovo.
