As you may have noticed from the many posts on Instagram, Ermal Mamaqi and Elvana Gjata were present at the Marché du Film at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival with the aim of promoting the film and finding partners to collaborate with a project future cinematography.
In an interview for "Cineuropa", Ermal Mamaqi has revealed something more about what we would say was in the interest of everyone: how much he sold and won the Mamaqi-Gjata pair, be it simply and only during the first month.
In a video about four minutes, as Mamaqi introduces himself and makes it clear that he is there to sell his movie, he says that he and the other protagonist, Elvana, are the first Albanians who have managed to sell 250,000 tickets in just one months.
Which translates to how much money?
Exactly more than 1m euros, again in a month.
The "2 Finger Husband" fable is built around an Albanian love story that has within romance, sharing, sorrow, reconnection, wedding, adventure and dementia. The Premiere of Violence was awarded on March 28.
