Angela Martini is leaving behind her days as a model. As for the Thrive Global, she has written a book and is working for the second. The first, unnamed, book tells the story of her mother who faced many difficulties during her life, but she did. "One day, a German soldier lined up all the camp prisoners. Every third person in a row was executed. They started counting: Eins, Zëei, Drei! A shot was heard! Boom! The first was shot in the head. The prisoners began to count themselves, to understand who had the order to execute. My grandpa had radon. He closed his eyes and simply thought about the family. He accepted the death in silence. "We'll all die one day," he thought. "It was not my luck to live!" With his eyes closed, he just received the bullet.
Suddenly, he heard a roar and a noise. The person to be executed before my grandfather ran and tried to leave the soldiers, but one of them shot at the back and killed him. The prisoners were lined up again and counting started from scratch. Eins, Zëei, Drei! Boom! Grandpa did not count this time. He realized that his life was over and accepted as a fact. From this story told by her mother, the model and now the author, realized the value of her life she had forgiven. "If the prisoner had not tried to escape, my grandfather would not have been spared and I would not even exist," she writes.
