In September, the news that the well-known actor Arben Derhemi and his ex-wife, Iva Korumi, had divorced, caused a stir in the media. But at that time there was no official statement from either of them. Without referring to any specific source, Arben described all these news as slander for profit, but after a while, the actor decided to speak on this topic himself.
In a recent interview, he admitted for the first time that he has been separated from his wife for two years. Arbeni explained that he had kept this news away from the media and that the explosion of the news seemed strange to him, since everything was a joint and calm decision between them.

"It's a big lie because I've been separated for a long time, almost two and a half years," the actor said. "I don't understand, it was all as if by order, it was all orchestrated by a strange machine, we say, the farce that doesn't impress me much because I've heard a lot of things about my friends, my friends who I know very well, I know very well. But this time it was very strange because I have kept my private life away, away from television, away from magazines, away from everything because it is mine and those who have been around me."
He added that his ex-wife has the right to feel revulsion at the inclusion of their private life in the public, since they both wanted to keep it out of the spotlight:
"It is understood that my ex-wife has her right to be revolted by such a thing because we want to keep something out of this. A moment was decided for us to separate and that's it, there is nothing strange."
The pair, who have a daughter named Darlin, born in 2009, have long been a well-known couple, but it seems their relationship has ended.
Arben Derhemi, who is one of the most popular actors in the country, has performed numerous roles in the theater and on the screen. His role as "Flori" in the series "People and Fate" remains among the most prominent, giving him a special place in the memory of the Albanian public.
