BTS and Big Hit Entertainment have teamed up to donate $ 1 million to help concert teams that have been hit hard by the pandemic.
The Korean group and their management company have donated to the 'Creation Nation' charity campaign, which helps all those who have lost their jobs from canceled events.
Live Nation announced in March the creation of 'Creë Nation' with the initial amount of $ 10 million, to help about 1000 people. Some of them were hired to work on the BTS tour "Map of the Soul".
"If it weren't for Covid-19, we would have started the tour in many countries around the world with our live concert team," the Korean group said in a statement. "We are aware that many communities need help after the Covid-19 situation and we wanted to support people working in the music industry with this contribution. We hope to meet on stage soon. "
This is the second donation that BTS makes after $ 1 million donated to the #BlackLivesMatter cause.
