Halle Berry has said that Blake Lively invited her to play the iconic role of Storm in the new "Deadpool & Wolverine" movie, but Ryan Reynolds didn't do the same. Berry said Blake asked her while they were at the Marc Jacobs fashion show last September.
In an interview with Comicbook.com, Halle said:
"Blake once asked me, 'Will you play Storm in my husband's movie?' and I replied: "Yes, if you invite me", but he never did."
Reynolds and Hugh Jackman's film was released on July 26, along with some iconic returns such as Elektra, who is played by Jennifer Garner, and Blade, who returned to the role of hero Wesley Snipes.
Channing Tatum also joined the cast to play Gambit in a Marvel superhero movie that never materialized.
As for Halle Berry, she played the role of Storm in "X-Men" (2000). Further, the character was brought back in the subsequent films "X2" (2003) and "X-Men: The Last Stand" (2006).
For the last time, Halle Berry appeared as Storm in 2014, in "X-Men: Days of Future Past".
