Perfume bottles are so pleasing that it is no wonder you put them in a place visible to the eye, which unfortunately, happens to be wrong. Experts have found that 84% of us are destroying perfumes by keeping them in the wrong place.
According to a survey by Parfum Direct (via Ok! Media), 45% of people keep perfumes on their desk or on a bedroom shelf. According to experts, perfumes should be stored in a dark place, because exposure to light and warm temperatures causes them to lose their original aroma. Natural and artificial light spoils the composition of flavoring liquids and over time, the perfume changes the aroma.
Thus it is necessary to keep perfumes in a cupboard or drawer, to minimize contact with light. If you want to see them, put them in their box.
If you are 39% of the people who keep perfumes in a closet / shelf in the toilet, you are still wrong. Humid environments and inconsistent temperatures make perfumes lose their original aroma.
It is also worth noting that perfumes do not last forever. Experts say they can retain their original fragrance for up to two or three years, always if stored properly.
