There's no denying that there's something whimsical, almost intimate about getting a manicure or pedicure. Think about it: you hold hands in front of a stranger or your feet are touched for a long time by a stranger. Often these seem like uncomfortable situations.
“There are many customers who are regular and appreciative of our work, but there are plenty of cases where uncomfortable situations and strange behavior make this process almost challenging,” says Jin Soon Choi, a well-known nail expert.
Here are three things you can leave to the experts if you want beautiful, well-manicured nails.
#1 Delay
The first violation is one of the most common: arriving late to the meeting and not giving notice. For nail experts, this is unfair as it completely disrupts the cycle of appointments during the day. They describe it as a detriment to the business, the postponement of the schedules, while the customers are upset because they arrive late and do not fit into the schedule for which they had booked.
#2 Being on the phone all the time
If you're not getting a pedicure, it might seem somewhat acceptable, but if you're getting your nails done and you're on the phone or texting all the time, it just makes the process more difficult. Not forgetting the fact that the phone has oils on the surface from touching it with hands and this can prevent the realization of the right design or nail polish.
#3 Treatment requirements for calluses and ingrown toenails
"We are not doctors to treat every problem with our clients' fingernails or toenails. We treat aesthetic problems, while for serious cases there are professionals who provide better solutions,” says expert Choi. So clients need to get used to the idea that manicures and pedicures are purely aesthetic.
