Florjan Binaj has played over 140 different roles (as far as he can remember) during his career as a comedian, but the person he has rarely made laugh is none other than his father!
Asked during Andale Media's newest show, ">"Me nder jush" , a different late night show , Binaj told us that although he has made an entire Albania laugh with iconic roles, his biggest "critic" is neither more nor less than his own parent:
"Dad [hardly laughs at my jokes]. My dad is a guy who doesn't express himself much, except when he hears Sanremo. Then he cries, holds it in all year and then explodes. It's always like that, even when I did a number that the audience stood up and applauded, I would turn to dad and dad [makes a serious face]."

Further, Binaj added:
"There are times when you even laugh, but in general it's very difficult to get rid of that shell."
Reflecting further on the time, Florjan said:
"I have the impression that they used to laugh more and they don't laugh anymore now, maybe even when we get older we become a little more serious."
This contrast between success on stage and seriousness at home is not entirely unheard of: while the audience often stands up and applauds a person, the person closest to them remains a harsh critic and a figure who keeps them grounded. It doesn't seem so bad when you put it that way. :)
