It is not always easy to decide if you should share with your partner: You certainly care for them and have many wonderful memories together. But there can be problems in your relationship that often make you wonder if separation is the right decision or not.
"Separating from your partner is sometimes the right thing to do if you do not feel happier and the relationship seems to be overwhelming," says Celia Scheyer, a dating and relationship expert.
Here are some questions to ask yourself and note the relevant answers before ending your relationship:
# 1 - Is anyone other than me influencing my decision?
# 2 - Do my partner and I share the same core values?
# 3 - Would I like my child to be with someone like my partner in the future?
# 4 - Is sharing a kind of "behavior model" for me?
# 5 - How and how much will my happiness depend on this action? Will I feel happier / freer if I break up?
# 6 - Is this (connection or separation) what I need and what I want in my life right now?
# 7 - Maybe something important has happened in my life and I're just reflecting that stress on my relationship?
# 8 - Or am I just "fat" from the routine? Is there anything I can do about it?
# 9 - What is the first choice that comes to mind if I trust (only) my intuition and instinct?
# 10 - Do I like the person I am when I am close to my partner?
