Një rast tronditës ka dalë në dritë në Austri, ku një i ri 21-vjeçar ka pranuar se kishte planifikuar një sulm terrorist në një koncert të Taylor Swift gjatë verës së vitit 2024.

I riu, i identifikuar si Beran A., rrëfeu para gjykatës se kishte përgatitur sulmin për muaj të tërë, ndërsa pranoi edhe përfshirjen në një organizatë terroriste. Megjithatë, ai mohoi disa akuza të tjera, përfshirë plane të mundshme për sulme jashtë Austrisë. Sipas prokurorëve, ai u arrestua më 7 gusht 2024, vetëm një ditë para koncertit të planifikuar, duke shmangur kështu një ngjarje që mund të kishte pasoja tragjike.

Në të njëjtin proces gjyqësor përfshihet edhe një 21-vjeçar tjetër, Arda K., i dyshuar si pjesë e së njëjtës organizatë. Të dy akuzohen se kishin plane për sulme në disa qytete, përfshirë Stambollin dhe Dubain. Hetimet zbuluan se i pandehuri kryesor kishte kërkuar online udhëzime për ndërtimin e eksplozivëve dhe dyshohet se kishte tentuar të siguronte armë në mënyrë të paligjshme.

Vetë Taylor Swift mësoi për komplotin gjatë një fluturimi drejt Austrisë, siç është zbuluar më vonë në një dokumentar për turneun e saj The Eras Tour. Ajo e përshkroi situatën si një moment kur turneu “pothuajse u përball me tragjedi”, duke shprehur mirënjohje për autoritetet që ndërhynë në kohë.

Pas anulimit të koncerteve në Vjenë, artistja reagoi publikisht, duke theksuar se, pavarësisht zhgënjimit për koncertet e humbura, më e rëndësishmja ishte që u shpëtuan jetë njerëzish. Turneu “The Eras”, i cili u zhvillua nga viti 2023 deri në fund të 2024-ës, u shndërrua në një nga më të suksesshmit në histori, me mbi 10 milionë bileta të shitura dhe të ardhura që kaluan 1 miliard dollarë.

Gjykimi për këtë çështje pritet të vazhdojë deri në fund të muajit maj, ndërsa autoritetet theksojnë se ndërhyrja në kohë ishte vendimtare për të parandaluar një tragjedi të mundshme.

A shocking case has come to light in Austria, where a 21-year-old man has admitted to planning a terrorist attack at a Taylor Swift concert in the summer of 2024.

The young man, identified as Beran A., confessed to the court that he had been preparing the attack for months, while also admitting involvement in a terrorist organization. However, he denied several other charges, including possible plans for attacks outside Austria. According to prosecutors, he was arrested on August 7, 2024, just one day before the planned concert, thus averting an event that could have had tragic consequences.

Another 21-year-old, Arda K., is also involved in the same trial, suspected of being part of the same organization. Both are accused of planning attacks in several cities, including Istanbul and Dubai. Investigations revealed that the main defendant had searched online for instructions on how to build explosives and is suspected of attempting to obtain weapons illegally.

Taylor Swift herself learned of the plot on a flight to Austria, as later revealed in a documentary about her The Eras Tour. She described the situation as a moment when the tour "almost faced tragedy," expressing gratitude to authorities who intervened in time.

After the cancellation of the concerts in Vienna, the artist reacted publicly, emphasizing that, despite the disappointment of the lost concerts, the most important thing was that lives were saved. The “ The Eras ” tour, which took place from 2023 to the end of 2024, became one of the most successful in history, with over 10 million tickets sold and revenues exceeding $ 1 billion.

The trial in this case is expected to continue until the end of May, while authorities emphasize that timely intervention was crucial in preventing a potential tragedy.
