If there is something for which Albania is ranked among the first countries in Europe, it is the level of pollution. In an article published in Monitor, it says that according to "Numbeo" our country and Macedonia are the most problematic places in terms of environmental pollution.
For 2019 Albania has had a pollution index of 77.07 and Macedonia 80.85. Compared to a year ago, the pollution index in us has increased, while in the neighboring country has declined.
The main factors that lead to such an outcome are air and water pollution. In an article published in October 2018, it was stated that the three most problematic cities of air pollution here are Tirana, Korç and Elbasan.
In addition to Albania and Macedonia, the third highest level of pollution is occupied by Ukraine, followed by Bulgaria, Bosnia, Russia and Serbia.
Undoubtedly, this is one of the most worrying issues for the population as it relates directly to the quality of life and health. The cleanest country in Europe remains Finland, followed by Iceland, Sweden, Estonia and Norway.
