In recent years, the "Eurovision Song Contest" has become more than ever a festival that brings together people from different ethnicities, as well as artists with different sexual orientations.
Since 2012, Turkey has taken no part in the European Festival and apparently there is a reason behind this 6-year boycott.
Ibrahim Eren, director of the Turkish National Radio Television (TRT) in an interview with "Anadolu news agency", has announced the details that have pushed Turkey to not participate in the "Eurovistion Song Contest".
"As a public broadcaster, (TRT) can not broadcast at 9 o'clock in the evening when children are watching TV, an Austrian with a beard and a gown, saying that it does not have a gender and is said to be a man and a woman in the same time. "
According to Anatolu news agency, Eren has suggested that Turkey does not take part in the European Festival until such a situation is resolved.
Meanwhile, after this statement, the Eurovision Broadcasting Union reacted, saying Turkey is welcome to participate again in the "Erovision Song Contest".
They also stressed that "Eurovison song Contest" aims to promote music and cultural values ??through diversity.
