This episode of "Hostel by Anabel" was the center of discussion, prompted by the murder of Juliet Cunit last Monday. In addition to the conversation in the studio about the phenomenon of Juliet and similar cases with her, in a vox pop segment, Anabel's collaborator Indriti Ymeri asked Albanian girls some questions about beauty.
"You, as a beautiful girl, how difficult it is to face life in Albania," he immediately answered, "I'm not nice."
And that response line went on until the end of the interview. None of the girls did not accept the definition of being beautiful, though they are actually. They may not look like a Victoria's Secret parade, but in the portrait of each one they find something beautiful, something special.
"I really feel simple. I am neither beautiful nor ugly, "said one of them.
In the end, girls were asked to give a note of themselves, from 1 to 10, with regard to their appearance. With a single exception, they all said either 5 or 11, which are practically the same thing. The weight is in the middle and avoids the modesty of the one and the pride of tithing. While 11 gets sarcastic, as if to say that this note is of no value.
Girls all over the world do not know how beautiful they are. A Dove survey, a few years ago, concluded that only 4% of women around the world feel really beautiful and would use this word to describe themselves.
In the Anabel.al survey compiled to precede this vox pop, they voted more people than in previous polls. Of about 4,000 people, 70% say they think positively about how I look, but only 31% think they are beautiful.
The saddest and optimistic result of the survey was the cause of this insecurity. Plot 65% put the blame on yourself, and here is left an open path to the road of self-love.
